European Family Friendly Destinations for 2016

Once families grow bigger with the kids’ arrival, many people begin to change the destinations and entertainment opportunities for their vacations. The good news is that the travel agencies and resort managers learned this a long time ago, and this is the main reason why the family friendly travel packages and destinations have become more and more popular.

A great family oriented vacation can be enjoyed by choosing the Balearic Islands. The Balearic are usually linked to the famous Ibiza and Majorca resorts, but these are just two of the popular places on the Balearic Islands.

Palma Nova, Cala D’Or in Majorca or Santa Eulalia and Port des Torrent are less known, but great family oriented resorts. As an example, Santa Eulalia has shallow waters which are perfect for younger kids. The beach is also considered to be a very safe one, a place where you can let the kids run, play and bath in the water. Also, since there are no party bars on the beach, the entire area is quiet and peaceful.

In addition to this, there are many terraces on the beach that will entertain your kids for sure; they will play lots of interesting games and enjoy spending time with other kids of similar ages, while mom and dad can take a few hours off. Kids can also play all sorts of water sports, go karting, spend a few days at Cesars’ Watersport Centre, or simply dive in the blue, crystal clear waters around the island.

The Canary Islands represent another good family friendly destination for 2016. No matter the time of the year, the weather is wonderful, allowing your kids to spend their time outside, admiring the splendor of the nature.

It is important to know is that the Canary Islands are safe for your kids. The islands provide all the necessary facilities, being similar to any of the inland European resorts. Due to the long history of providing tourism services, the Canary Islands are prepared to meet even the highest of the expectations of the tourists arriving there.

Kids will have the opportunity to taste the diverse Canary cuisine, and many of the restaurants on the islands provide dedicated menus for kids. Families from all over the world enjoy riding camels, windsurfing, visiting the vineyards or going to amusement theme parks.

Barcelona is also a place to visit even if you have younger kids with you. It is the perfect city for a short vacation, as well as for a longer one. The city has numerous museums and countless tourist attractions. Among them, there are several places where your kids will simply love to be: the Aquarium and the Zoo are just two examples.

In fact, even the major museums in Barcelona provide special programs and all sorts of interesting activities for kids of different ages. The majority of the restaurants in Barcelona are family friendly as well, meaning they welcome families and have special menus and products for the kids eating there.

While in Barcelona with your kids, make sure to stop at the Magic Fountains, where you will be able to listen to a spectacular musical show that makes use of water from the fountains and colored lights. Don’t forget to visit the Tibidabo Amusement Park and the largest miniature complex in the entire world, Catalunya en Miniatura. All the well known masterpieces of Gaudi are scaled down, thus allowing the kids to see them properly.
