There are typically three ways to buy a used static caravan: you can buy straight from the holiday park owner, you can buy from a dealer or you can buy from a private seller. Here are some tips for buying from a private seller specifically:
Firstly you need to ensure that what you’re buying is all above board. The last thing you want is to be lumped with any outstanding bills that the previous occupant owes to the park owner. It’s usually a good idea to speak to the park owner and ensure that everything is in order.
Sometimes a caravan might be sold on with a very short life-span. In holiday parks especially there is sometimes a rule that caravans must be changed after a number of years, Obviously the last thing you want to do is buy a caravan that is about to reach the end of its lifespan.
